stART Project - Mouse Shapes

This week for our stART project we read Mouse Shapes by Ellen Stoll Walsh. Molly picked it out from the library, we have Mouse Paint, so it is fun to read another one of the Mouse books. This one has the 3 little mice building with shapes, so I thought this would make for a perfect gluing project.

I cut out a bunch of colored shapes for Molly to glue onto construction paper.

We used the book as a guide, so she could match the pictures to the ones in the book.

She was so proud of her picture, it turned out great, and gave us some good practice in leaving things glued on to a page, usually Molly always wants to peel them off before they dry.

A Mommy's Adventures hosts stART, head over and check it out.
There are so many great book and art project ideas.

Quick Update!

I just wanted to post a quick update on the girls. I know there are alot of family and friends who are wondering how everything is going.

We had our follow up appointments today for both Molly and Nora. Nora is doing FANTASTIC. It is so good to be out of the hospital and fever free. She is growing like a weed, and finally acting like herself again. All weekend she was very, very crabby. (They said the shots and virus could cause this). She was either sleeping or crying and nothing helped. But thankfully, as of yesterday she is back to her happy normal only "sometimes" crabby self. :) The doctor was very happy and said she is doing great.

Molly had a follow up to the fainting she had a month ago. She is fine, and hasn't had another episode. But since she has a heart murmur (she has since birth), she has to see a cardiologist next week. Nothing I am to worried about, the doctor is pretty sure it will still be no big deal, but better safe then sorry since she fainted.

Needless to say, we have had a lot of craziness over here lately and are definitely ready for some normal, fun time!!!

Muffin Tin Monday! Theme- Yellow

This weeks "Muffin Tin Monday" theme was yellow. Molly loved having all yellow foods for lunch, and kept saying... I'm going to eat my yellow... I on the other hand was super excited that I had a yellow cup, fork and spoon. Such a fun easy lunch today.

Back Row- Corn, Mac and Cheese, Yellow Carmel Apple Sucker
Front Row- String Cheese, Mac and Cheese, Pears

Home Sweet Home!

We have had a very hard long week, but I am happy to report we are once again home and hope we are staying here. It all started last week Friday when we had to take Nora into the hospital with a fever. By Monday morning we thought things were much better, but after going back to the doctor for a follow up on Tuesday, we were sent to the hospital and admitted. It was so hard being in the hospital, but things worked out ok and after 48 hours we got to come home on Thursday afternoon.

Now I just have a very crabby baby, but it is nice to have her crabby at our house. She now just has a rash from the virus, and her legs are really sore from all the shots, but she no longer has a fever and is doing SO much better.

Thanks for everyone's kind words and your thoughts and prayers. They were very much appreciated.

We are MIA! Sick little girls :(

We have had a very, very, very long and rough weekend. Both my girls were sick. Molly had a horrible cold and fever all last week, and unfortunately, even though we were washing are hands like crazy and I am nursing, Nora still got sick.

We ended up at the hospital Friday night, with my two week old baby having a fever. Needless to say is was an awful few days for us. But we are doing much better now and are VERY ready for a "normal" week. Hoping and praying that Nora is done with the worst of being sick.

Nora is so happy to be feeling a little better!
