Frugal Friday!

Carter's in the Holland Outlet center is having their warehouse sale this weekend.

It starts Friday, August 28, 10am-9pm and through the weekend.
Check it out if you live in the area. Usually everything is $3.99 or less. (sometimes a few things for more) This is all new stuff. Last time I got a ton of really cute pants for only .99 cents each.

This year I got a ton of really cute clothes and outfits, and even some pj's and swimsuit.

Toddler Time Thursday!

My baby is not quite 2 years old yet, but let me tell you.... SHE THINKS SHE IS!!! She is really working on her independence (and mom's patience) right now.

As you can see, she is going through a stage where she refuses to wear anything in her hair, so she is constantly sporting the disheveled look. Which seems to bother me way more than it bothers her. :)

Also, she is getting really good at brushing her own teeth and washing her own hands in the sink. We have a stool by the counter and she loves being in control of this task. However... yesterday I was getting ready to go to the dentist. As I was doing my hair she was on the stool next to me and I hear... UH OH... mommy's toothbrush. Oh yes, sure enough, she dropped my toothbrush down the sink, that's right, down the sink just far enough not to be able to get out by any means except taking the pipes off. (our sink stopper is broken, cough cough, time to fix it husband, but that's a whole other ordeal) Whoopsies! Sorry dentist...

I have a feeling 2 is going to be a crazy year over here at our household. :) But I am definitely having a blast. :)

Frugal Friday!

One of the ways I am constantly trying to save money, is on the grocery bill.

A very easy way is when buying juice. Instead on buying in a bottle, we buy 100% juice, but in frozen concentrate. This saves over 1/2 the price!!! Seriously!!! And, one of the best things is, if you have young kids, you can just water the juice down as you make it, so you don't have to every time you pour a glass of juice.

Also, you can almost always find coupons in the paper or online for these. :)

Toddler Time Thursday!

BIG GIRL BED!!!

Molly is ready for a big girl bed... now the problem is finding one that's quality and not going to break the bank.

After we went camping and she had to sleep on a pull out bed with a side railing, we definitely know she is ready to handle the switch to a big girl bed. This just seems like such a huge deal to me, I can't believe that my baby is so old.

I am having a really hard time finding anything. Do we get a twin bed right away with side rails? Or get a small toddler bed with her crib mattress first? Should I get one with built in side rails? AHHH, why is something like this so hard?

I Heart Faces - Bubble Photo

I love looking at the cute pictures and entries over at I Heart Faces each week, but have never entered. This week, when I saw the theme was bubbles, I just had to enter this cute picture of Molly on her 1st birthday with cousin Heidi. She LOVES bubbles.

Head on over to I Heart Faces, and check out all the great bubble photos.

We're Back!

GREAT WEEK OF CAMPING!
We are back from a great week of camping! I brought my computer along thinking I would still be able to blog, but alas... the campground didn't have wireless internet.

It actually worked out kind of nice though. I was still really sick last week, and almost didn't even go along, but it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. My husband had the whole week off, so he could take care of Molly all week, and I could just rest and be sick without having to worry about anything.

One of the only downsides of the week (other than rain in the beginning) was I lost my camera the first day!!! AHHHHH!!!! So no great camping pictures. Good news is, my husband found it in a bag after we got home. So that's atleast a relief, however I only have cell phone pictures from camping. :(

QUESTION FOR YOU:
I have been trying to figure out how to write posts ahead, and have them scheduled to post themselves the next day, but can't for the life of me figure it out. Anyone know how? I need any help I can get. Thanks so much.

Frugal Friday!

One of my new favorite sites to look through when I have a few extra minutes is:
Frugal-Fun-Mom.com.

It has great frugal ideas for games, recipes, rainy days, vacations, living, etc.

There are a lot of ads on the pages, but if you scroll down you get to the good stuff.
My favorite right now is their Top 20 Family Fun Activities. They sound like a lot of fun.

If you have some time, check it out. :)

Tip Tuesday!

My newest favorite tip is:

To brown a very large quantity of ground beef up (slowly of course, so not to burn it). Then drain in and cool into about 1 pound portions in individual containers. Then I pop them in the freezer.

This is SO nice. Their are so many times that I don't make a recipe because I don't feel like browning meat because it's so hot, or I'm just to lazy, or my biggest issue... I forget to thaw it.

It's also really nice, because with how sick I am with this pregnancy, it is really easy for my husband to take out the already browned meat and make goulash, nachos, manwich, etc. for the rest of the family.

Sunday's Spotlight

I've been missing in action... but for a great reason.
I'm happy to announce that we are having another...

BABY!!!

We are very excited, but like last time, I am very, very, very sick. It is even harder to be so sick this time since I am taking care of Molly at the same time.

I am finally getting more on top of things, and am starting to be able to leave the house and start to do some normal things again. I am praying I won't be sick the whole 9 months this time, like I was last time.
