Summer To Do List - Tip Tuesday

Molly and I have been working on coming up with ideas and activities to do this summer. We got a pretty good list together, but I wasn't exactly sure how to display them. At first I thought we would draw them out of a jar or something, but then I saw this GREAT idea over at find Joy in the journey, she put them on her refrigerator!

I typed up the list, and added pictures for each one so that Molly could use them too. I glued them to colored card stock, cut and laminated them. Then I found my role of magnet and added them to the backs of each and put them on the fridge. Love it!

After we complete each activity, we are going to put the cards in a basket to use for next year. I think it will be really easy to add new ideas to the fridge whenever we think of something.

What are your family's Summer ideas???

Felt Card Table House!

So excited to show the Felt Card Table House I made this week. It was such a FUN sewing project, and only took a few days.
I love sewing with felt.

Here's a picture of it without the cat paw reaching underneath.

Molly is loving it.

Front Doorway!

Complete with Mailbox!

That opens with a pocket to put mail!

Dog House for Molly's stuffed dogs to go in!

Or should I have made it a cat house???

Complete with bones to play with!

Clothesline to hang her doll clothes on!

And a window with changeable flowers. The flowers are Velcroed on, so she can change which ones go in the window box!

I followed the felt along tutorial over at Fireflies and Jellybeans to help make this fun house, with lots of inspiration from Crafty Chic Mommy. Thanks Ladies!

Happy Sewing!

Out of the Mouths of Moms

I was reading one of my favorite blogs, and she has a great new blog party where moms write the crazy things we've caught ourselves saying recently. I was to late to link up to this, but I thought it would be fun to write some of those things anyways. If you have any funny ones of your own, make sure to write them in the comments.

"Stickers only go on paper and people, not on cats... because they don't like it."

"Sorry honey, we can't put your baby sister in her crib every time she crys... because that's not how it works... yes, but your bitty baby is different than your sister."

"I'm sorry you'll never be happy again... No you still can't have another bag of fruit snacks."

"Gross, don't move a second, what's on your pants... phew, playdough."

"No, Swiper didn't swipe my shoes, you did honey, where are they?"

"Is that drool or pee, let's guess drool..."

Man how life changes when you have kids, it's the best. :)

Under Construction!

Hi everyone! Please bear with me as I do a little "construction" on my blog! It is definitely time, since my header picture was from when Molly was 1, hee hee(a year and a half and another kid since). I'm not quite sure what I am doing so it is taking sometime to figure out. Hopefully it will look good in a few days. :)

THANKS!

A Great Birthday!

Today was my birthday! I know it may sound crazy, but I love getting older. Birthdays are so happy for me and I love thinking about how lucky and great having lived another year is. This past year was crazy, from being pregnant, to having Nora, to Molly's brain tumor and surgery. I am definitely ready for a less crazy year.

I had a great day, Molly got me flowers, which was SO sweet, she LOVES picking out flowers by herself. Donuts for breakfast (what could be better). I spent the day with my husband who had the day off of work, and my girls which was so nice. And then tonight my mom watched the girls and me and Randal went to a very nice dinner alone, which was awesome. All in all, it was a fantastic day. I'm ready to see what 27 brings. :)
