Outfit Organization!

Here is our solution to helping Molly get ready in the morning and keeping mom sane. :) Molly always wants to pick her own outfit, but most of the time it doesn't work, (like shorts in the cold, etc.). So, instead I help her pick out all of her outfits for the week on Sunday, and she puts them into the drawers for the day she wants to wear them, complete with socks and undies, totally ready to go!

I cut out the days of the week with pink vinyl, and put them on the front of each drawer. Our set is actually 2 sets of 3 drawers stacked on top of each other.

Of course, when I got around to taking a picture, it was already the end of the week, so you only get to see one outfit. :)

This has been working SO good for us. Molly loves to help pick her outfits and have control of what day to wear each one. It also makes her getting ready on her own much easier, and I always know everything is clean and good to go. No more frantically searching for white legging before preschool. :)

SLOWLY Organizing!

Over the past few weeks I have been working on my house (and life, hee hee) to get more organized! I am getting there very slowly but surely. Each day I am doing one thing to make things more organized and run smoother.

One of my favorite things from this week is in the hair drawer in the bathroom. I put all Molly's hairbands in an ice cube tray. It is so nice to have them all sorted kind of by color like this so I don't have to dig through the bowl looking for a pink one! I actually used two trays and stacked them in a drawer in the bathroom. LOVE how it is working out!

Molly's New Work Area!

I also am in LOVE with my new area for Molly's daily learning activities. I took Carisa from 1+1+1=1's inspiration and got this beautiful organizer from IKEA (love that store). It has worked so amazing for us. Molly loves having everything in it's own drawer, and she can be more self leading. She gets out one drawer at a time, we do the activity and then she knows she has to pick it back up before she gets out another drawer. It also makes it so much easier for me to set activities up for her, each night I just change a few out. LOVE it. :)
