YEA!!! It's time for a cloth diaper review and giveaway!!! I am so excited, and hope you are too, because this is an awesome diaper!
Most of you know I am addicted to cloth diapering, and have used them for both my girls. I started to save money, but now being better for the environment is a major reason that I love it! I have been through all the ups and downs of learning to use cloth diapers, and love trying all different kinds and styles on my search for the "Perfect" cloth diaper.
When I was buying more diapers to use with my second daughter, I met Kellie from Ecobuns, and was blown away by everything they offered and how helpful she was in answering all my questions and explaining everything to me. You can visit Ecobuns online store, or if you live in West Michigan you can shop at there new store opening up soon. They have everything you could need for cloth diapering and even slings, nursing necklaces, and so much more. She even offers free classes on cloth diapering!
Ecobuns let me try a Thirsties Duo Diaper to review. This diaper comes in two adjustable sizes, one for 6-18 pounds, and the other for 18-40 pounds. So you can diaper from birth to potty training with only two different sizes! Each diaper has three rows of snaps so you can adjust them to fit perfectly as your baby grows.
It also comes with two inserts, a microfiber and a hemp, that snap together so they stay stuffed nicely. This worked very well, I love having a bottom layer of hemp, it really absorbs amazing! Another thing that helps this diaper not leak is the leg gussets on the sides, they make a huge difference and is one of the only diapers I have used with these, it fits much snugger.
It is a very trim diaper, which I love because it fits under my 4 month olds cloths pretty well to size. Most of the time her diaper booty is so bulky I have to dress her in a size up. Another plus is that you don't have to pull out the inserts to wash this diaper, they will agitate out on there own! It's SO nice, major plus here! I love anything that makes washing quicker and easier!
One of the only things I didn't like about this diaper is that when using the snaps in the front to size it, the middle on the diaper pulls down a little bit making a gap in the front. Other than that, I have had no problems with it, and no leaks!! I find my self saving this diaper for when we are going somewhere or when I want my daughter to wear a cute outfit without a huge diaper booty. It is very reliable, and one of my new favorites. It also comes in fun colors!

ReplyDeleteI would like to try the thirsties fab fitted diaper. :)

I already use cloth and i LOVE saving money and doing my part for the environment!
ReplyDeleteI visited the ecobuns site and I would love to try the pocket diapers. I have heard they are great.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog! I love to hear about others experience with cloth diapers!
ReplyDeleteI have been cloth diapering for about 4 months now and I love how great it is for the environment and all the money we are saving!! I am getting ready to start cloth on my new baby girl as soon as her cord falls off. =)
ReplyDeleteI went to Ecobuns and would love to try this diaper most actually. I use mostly prefold/flats and covers now and would like to try out an aio or pocket like the thirsties duo diaper.
ReplyDeleteI am currently using cloth diapers for about 3 months now. One thing I love is the fact that they really are not that hard to care for and wash. I keep a wet pail next to the toilet for using after I use the diaper sprayer on the dirty diapers. Then I keep a dry pail in the nursery closet for the wet ones. Really whats one more load of laundry a week ! :)
ReplyDeleteWelll I visit the Ecobuns site and store quite frequently :) But after your review I would have to say I would want to try this thirsties duowrap diaper mostly because It is "trimmer" I at home have the bumgenius one size, happy heinys pocket and some thirsties covers with prefolds and I love them all for different reasons :)
ReplyDeleteHere is the link to my blog where I posted about this awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeletehttp://blueberry1610.blogspot.com/2010/07/giveaway.html
I love cloth diapering because it's a sustainable, earth friendly, baby friendly way to diaper. I love cloth booties, and knowing I am doing the best for my baby makes me happy! I thought cloth diapering would be overwhelming but I actually stay more on top of the laundry since starting to cloth diaper. Funny thing that is :-)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try a nursing necklace :-)
ReplyDeleteI would also love a bamboozle :-)

ReplyDeleteI love cloth diapering because the diapers are so cute, so soft, and I love not having a huge diaper pail full of stinky disposables that have to go into the landfill.

ReplyDeleteI am also a follower of your blog. The "annabellmc" comment above my "annie" is also me...not sure why is posted like that!
ReplyDeleteI love cloth diapers because they are chemical free, don't fill up my garbage, and they are so cute! I have used the regular Thirsties covers and loved them, but my daughter outgrew them. The way these last longer would be great.
ReplyDeleteFollowing you :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try some baby legs. I think they are adorable and have never had any.
ReplyDeleteWe already cloth diaper our 15 month old daughter and love it because I don't have to go to the store every week and shell out big bucks for ugly disposables. I get to buy cute colors and be more green at the same time!
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried a Thirsties Duo Diaper, just the Fab Fitted, so I'd like to try that of course.
ReplyDeleteFollowing you!!
